Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.
Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.
Shipping and refunds
For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

When a Hoover SH40080's exhaust filter cover is cracked or broken, the filter behind it can sit loose instead of staying pressed into place, and once that happens some exhaust air can pass around the filter media rather than through it, so filtration stops being complete even with a good filter installed. That kind of leak is easy to miss at first because the machine still picks up dirt normally at the floor tool; the giveaway is usually a faint dusty smell from the exhaust or a fine film settling near the vents after a cleaning session.
