Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.
Shipping and refunds
For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Press the neck release and get nothing back — no click, no spring, no release — and the flat spring behind the button has almost certainly cracked. Part 1737GS pairs the gray black button with a fresh leaf spring, so the mechanism is rebuilt rather than patched.
The button lives in the swivel neck, the pivoting joint where a power head or floor tool locks onto the machine. Pushing it flexes the leaf spring and withdraws the locking tab; letting go lets the spring drive the tab back into its keeper. Once that spring loses its tension or breaks, the fault shows up in one of two ways. Either the button sinks in and stays down, so the head will not release without a fight, or there is no resistance under the thumb at all and the joint no longer locks, which is felt as a neck that rocks and wanders while the machine is steered. Packed hair and grit in the button recess mimic both symptoms, so it is worth clearing the recess and trying again before condemning the part.
SEBO draws it at position 117 on both the DART and the FELIX sheets, described on the FELIX drawing as the gray black release button. Button and spring wear as a pair, which is why supplying one without the other would leave half the repair undone.
