Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.
Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.
Shipping and refunds
For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

The wire opening plug is the small moulded stopper that closes off the cord routing hole in a Hoover housing once the wire is run through it. Part 34131019 is the replacement, and it is the sort of thing that gets lost during a cord change rather than worn out in service.
Leaving the hole open is not just cosmetic. The plug holds the cord in its channel and keeps it from chafing on the moulding edge, and it stops dust being drawn in at a point that was never part of the intended air path.
It covers a long stretch of Hoover machines: the C1701, C1703-900, C1705-900 and C1712 WindTunnel Professional, the CH50010 Professional Series, the U5140900, U5172900 and U5175900 Fold Away, the U5458900 through U5491950 WindTunnel Supreme range, the U5753900, U5760900, U5762900 and U5786900, the U6630900 and U6634900, and the UH30070, UH40020, UH40065, UH40115, UH40125, UH40155 and UH40265.
