Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Sold built up rather than as a bare molding, 5172OR is the orange access door used across SEBO's AUTOMATIC X series uprights, and it arrives with its axle and return spring already on it. The X4/X5 exploded diagram lists the door at position 126 and notes that positions 127 and 128 come with it — those are axle 5303 and spring 5304 — so a single order covers the door and the pivot hardware that makes it swing and close.
The access door is opened whenever the brush roller area needs clearing, which on a busy machine means constantly. That duty cycle is why it is one of the more frequently broken parts on any upright: the hinge lugs take the load, the spring keeps trying to return it, and eventually a corner cracks or the axle bore wears oval. A door that will not latch flat leaves a gap in the underside of the head, and the head loses some of its seal against the carpet.
