Returns & Exchanges

Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.

Return eligibility

Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

Shipping and refunds

For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Part 517448001 is the valve cover on the Hoover F8100 Platinum Steam Vac, the piece that sits over the valve and shields it from the water moving through the machine during a cleaning pass. The same cover is listed for the F8100-900.

A cracked or missing cover does not stop the valve working the moment it breaks, which is why it often goes unreplaced. Left off, though, the valve is exposed to water and knocks it was never meant to take on its own, and a broken cover can rattle or shift out of position while the machine runs.
