Returns & Exchanges

Return eligibility

Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

TF5531BV is a PVC reducer fitting in Trovac's Vaculine central vacuum tubing line, stepping a 2 in. pipe run down to 1-21/32 in. It drops a standard 2 in. run to the smaller bore some valves, inlets or accessory connections call for, without cutting or reworking the larger pipe already run through the wall.

The fitting cements into Vaculine PVC tubing with standard central vacuum solvent cement, the same way a straight coupling or elbow in the same line does, giving an airtight joint across the size change rather than a mechanical or friction fit that could work loose under vacuum over time.

Measure the pipe on both sides of the transition before ordering, since a reducer only seats correctly when both ends match the tubing actually run in the wall, and a fitting that is close but not exact will leak air at the joint rather than pull a clean seal. Clean and dry both pipe ends before cementing, since solvent cement does not bond well over dust or moisture left in the pipe, and a rushed joint here is a common source of a slow leak that only shows up as weaker suction weeks later.
