The Tornado CVD 30, part 91430, brings a 12 in. cleaning path to commercial upright work on offices, hotel corridors and other contract cleaning accounts. It carries True HEPA certified filtration and the top Gold tier from the Carpet and Rug Institute's certification program.
CRI testing measures how much soil a vacuum pulls out of carpet, how well it holds onto what it has already picked up, and how little dust it puts back into the air while doing it. Gold is the highest of the three tiers the program awards, so a building that has to document its cleaning equipment for a LEED review or a facilities audit can point to this rating directly. True HEPA is a separate claim: the filter media is tested to that standard and the machine is sealed around it, rather than being sold as HEPA-type, which is the shortcut more common on cheaper machines.
Behind the certifications, the CVD 30 moves 102 CFM at 81.5 in. of water lift through a three-stage path of a CleanBreeze disposable bag, an intake filter and the HEPA cartridge, covering roughly 2,200 sq. ft. per hour at 66 dB(A). The body is polypropylene at 17 lb. with a 40 ft. pigtail cord, and the tools ride on the machine: crevice tool, upholstery attachment, dusting brush and a built-in wand. A quick-release base plate and a brush roll access port mean the wear points are reachable without dismantling anything.
A Gold rating and True HEPA filtration are only as good as how consistently the bag and filter get changed. A commercial upright run daily builds dust load fast, and letting a bag sit past full or a filter go unwashed pulls both pickup and filtration back toward what an uncertified machine manages, even though nothing in the hardware has changed.
