Returns & Exchanges

Length adjustment on the 6237ER telescopic tube depends on one small part, and 6425ER is it. Push the knob with your thumb and it lifts the internal catch so the inner tube can travel; release it and the catch drops into the nearest detent.

SEBO draws that length lock as three orderable pieces rather than one, which is worth knowing before anything is ordered. The knob is position 42 on the AIRBELT D diagram and position 51 on the AIRBELT K diagram. Directly after it, at position 52, sits the locking mechanism 6238ER — the catch the knob actually acts on. The tube itself is 6237ER, drawn at position 50 on the K sheet and 39 on the D sheet, and the fitting neck at the coupling end is 1736GS. That split matters when a tube still slips after a new knob goes on: at that point the lock, not the knob, is the worn component.

A knob normally fails by cracking around its boss or shearing off outright, and the tube then either jams at one length or runs free with nothing to hold it. Neither state survives a repair with tape, and neither justifies buying a complete tube.
