Filtration on the Simplicity Scout happens in stages rather than at one single point: a HEPA bag catches the bulk of what the airflow carries in, with a filter mounted ahead of the motor and another positioned right after it to trap whatever slips past the bag. Dust gets stopped at multiple points along the path instead of depending on one barrier to do everything.
