    We offer free standard shipping on eligible orders of $100 or more within the 48 contiguous United States. Eligibility is calculated on the merchandise subtotal after discounts and before tax.

    Most in-stock orders using standard shipping are processed within 1-5 business days, and most arrive 2-11 business days after they are placed. Backordered and special-order items may take longer.     Returns & Exchanges

    Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.

    Return eligibility

    Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

    Shipping and refunds

    For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

    Part C481-0009 is the lower body section for the Simplicity Scout and the Scoutplus alike. Where the middle housings are specific to each machine, this one is common to the pair, so a single number covers both.

    The underside of a canister absorbs most of the damage over a machine's life. It is what rides against stair treads and what takes the hit when the unit is pulled by the hose into a chair leg, so a cracked or gouged lower shell is a common reason to open one up. On a machine whose motor and electronics are still healthy, replacing the shell is the cheaper path. Other parts shared by both models include the C481-0012 cord rewind and switch housing and the B481-0002 air inlet grid.
