Its opposite number, 75116 at position 118, is catalogued as complete, so the two sides are neither identical nor interchangeable and each is ordered under its own number.
The supports hold the swivel neck where the CE12 handle assembly joins the power head, and between them the diagram runs through the working parts of that joint: the cable channel at 112, the two-wire swivel neck cable at 113, the right-hand blower housing at 115, the light ivory rotor at 116 and the left-hand blower housing at 117. Steering loads pass through the supports on every turn, and they fail either by wearing at the bearing face or by cracking after the machine has gone over on a stair edge or a doorway threshold.
What an owner notices is play. The handle moves before the head does, the neck no longer sits square when the machine is stood upright, and steering becomes a suggestion rather than an instruction. Renewing the affected side puts the geometry back and tightens the response.
