SEBO offers the AIRBELT E3 Premium in a run of soft finishes, and 8249CIER is the moulding that closes the exhaust filter bay on the pastel blue version. It is an exterior panel on a machine people tend to keep for many years, so it has to match the rest of the body as well as do its work.
That work is the last step in a fixed chain. Air drawn up the hose drops its load into the filter bag SEBO lists as item 21 on the AIRBELT E schematic, 8300AM. It then crosses the pre-motor filter box at item 20, 8322AM. It passes through the suction motor at item 9, 8243ER. It leaves the machine only through the exhaust filter that this panel holds down. Take the clamping pressure away and the media can lift at one edge, at which point a share of the outgoing air uses the gap instead of the filter. Suction at the floor head is unaffected, which is precisely why the fault goes unnoticed for months at a time.
Two things bring owners to this number. A retaining lug snaps, usually part way through a routine filter change, and the panel will not latch. Or the plastic has been scuffed and light-faded until the canister no longer looks uniform. Supplied as a single moulding, the replacement drops into the same recess either way and needs no tools beyond what a filter change already involves.
