Shipping Information

Returns & Exchanges

Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.

Return eligibility

Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

Shipping and refunds

For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Product details

Part 616811 is the right-hand torque spring for the Sanitaire S782 upright. It is a handed part - the left-hand spring is a different item and the two are not interchangeable, so check which side has failed before ordering.

Torque springs work every time the machine is used, and they fail by fatigue rather than damage: the coil loses its set, the leg breaks off at the bend, or the spring simply snaps. What you notice is the mechanism it loads going slack or lopsided, and a machine that no longer holds position or returns the way it did when it was new.

On a machine with commercial hours behind it, the spring on the other side is the same age and has done the same work. Doing both while the housing is apart usually saves a second teardown within the year.
