We offer free standard shipping on eligible orders of $100 or more within the 48 contiguous United States. Eligibility is calculated on the merchandise subtotal after discounts and before tax.
Most in-stock orders using standard shipping are processed within 1-5 business days, and most arrive 2-11 business days after they are placed. Backordered and special-order items may take longer. Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.
Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.
Shipping and refunds
For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Riccar's Spirit line starts with the R21, an entry-level bagged upright built around HEPA media filtration for everyday carpet cleaning in a household where pets or allergies are not the main driver of the purchase.
An entry-level upright earns its place by doing the daily job well rather than by adding features a household will not use. HEPA media filtration is worth having regardless of how basic the rest of the machine is, since it determines whether dust captured during cleaning stays captured or gets pushed back into the room through the exhaust. Everything else, the handle, the cord, the tool storage, matters less to everyday performance than whether the filtration itself is sealed.
Stepping up to the Spirit Plus (R21PLUS) adds three things and leaves the rest of the machine alone: LED headlights on the nozzle, a bare floor tool with a washable microfiber pad, and a stainless steel telescoping wand in place of the standard one. Riccar lists the two as sharing their sizing, so the choice is about whether those three additions are worth the price difference for how your household actually cleans, not about a different machine underneath.
