The agitator, sometimes called the brush roll, inside a Panasonic upright vacuum spins on a small bearing at its end, and part 60-3500-08 is the replacement for that bearing once it starts to wear.
These bearings tend to fail gradually rather than all at once, which gives some warning if you know what to listen for. First comes a grinding or squealing sound from the cleaning head that gets louder as motor speed increases.
