MG218M is Powr-Flite's 18 in. medium grit scrub brush, built for the company's 20 in. floor machines, the C201HD and the C202. Powr-Flite lists carbon-impregnated bristles set at a .028 in. fill diameter, with the clutch plate included, so the brush mounts directly to the machine without buying a separate driver.
Medium grit is the abrasive fill grade Powr-Flite assigns this brush. The manufacturer recommends it for tile and grouted floors, porous hard floors, heavy buildup or staining on concrete, unfinished concrete, and light stripping work. Grit abrasive digs into the texture of a floor rather than skating across the surface the way a plain nylon fill does, which is what lets it break down ingrained soil and old coating residue that a softer brush only pushes around.

Grit brushes lose their cutting edge gradually rather than failing outright, so a machine that used to strip a floor in one pass and now needs two or three is the usual sign it is time to swap the block rather than push harder with the same one.
