Returns & Exchanges

Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

Part 5 is the on/off switch for the Sirena canister vacuum, sold as a complete unit with its circuit board attached rather than a bare mechanical toggle. The same switch assembly is also listed for the Oreck XL21700ECB canister, so one part number serves machines wearing either nameplate.

Diagnosing a bad switch on this platform is deceptive because the symptoms mimic a completely dead machine rather than pointing at an electrical fault. Pressing the button does nothing at all, the motor runs and then drops out the instant the hose bumps the housing, or the vacuum only stays powered while the switch is held at an odd angle. Each of those points to worn contacts or a failing circuit board rather than the motor itself, and chasing a motor replacement first would be an expensive detour that leaves the actual problem untouched.

Since the board ships attached to the switch, the job is really about moving the existing wires onto the new assembly rather than troubleshooting the board on its own. Disconnect the machine from power and give it a moment to sit before opening the housing, then compare the connector layout on your unit against the new part before starting the swap. A quick photo of the original wiring, taken before anything is disconnected, removes the guesswork if the repair has to pause partway through.
