Returns & Exchanges

Where a screw has to clamp against a panel rather than into a tapped boss, SEBO puts a separate nut on the back of the joint. Part 0131ER covers that job ten at a time: steel nuts to DIN 562, the standard covering the thin, unchamfered square nut, sized to the M4 screws found throughout the machine. The square form is deliberate, because it drops into a moulded pocket in the housing and is held from turning while the screw is driven home from the other side.

Nuts are small enough to vanish into a workbench and soft enough to pick up a burr after a few removals. A burred or cross-threaded nut binds long before the joint is properly tight, so the screw feels solid in the hand while the panel it was meant to clamp still has play in it. Keeping ten fresh ones on the bench saves a good deal of hunting for the one that rolled away.
