Restore full suction with the Lamb Ametek 116137 electric central vacuum motor, SKU 203MR. This is a brand-new (not rebuilt) Ametek original — a 110-120 volt, three-stage motor used in assorted central vacuum systems. It replaces the 116137 only; motors marked 11-6137 or 6137 are the same unit.

Expected service life is 900-1,200 hours. Watch for a tripping mini breaker, electrical odor, heavy blue sparking from the top of the motor, or a unit that quits and then runs again — all signals the motor is done. Note that if you hear no click when calling for suction, the relay is the likelier culprit and the motor may still be fine. Replacement involves a few screw brackets and light wiring. The 116137's carbon brushes can also be swapped separately (two required) to head off failure in a motor that still has hours left.
