Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.
Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.
Shipping and refunds
For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

This genuine Kirby handle fork bushing is the bearing surface at the handle fork pivot, fitted from the 516 through to the Legend II and including the Classic Omega 1CB, Classic III 2CB, Heritage II and Heritage II Legend. It carries part number 137273A.
Everything the handle does passes through this joint. The bushing keeps that movement smooth and quiet, and when it dries out and wears oval the handle develops a rock you can feel at every change of direction, often with a click as the fork shifts on its pin. The play then goes to work on the fork pin and the castings either side, which are considerably more expensive to put right.
A new bushing takes the slop straight back out. Inspect the fork pin for grooving while the pivot is apart, since a worn pin will chew through a new bushing quickly.
