This is the lid that fits over the top of the dust bin on Kenmore bagless upright vacuums, stocked under Kenmore number KC20HEDCZSUM. It fits the 125.31230610 and 116.10335510 models specifically, and it replaces the original directly, closing the bin the same way and holding it shut while the machine runs.

Bin lids fail from repetition rather than a single bad moment. Emptying the bin over a trash can, usually one-handed and at arm's length, flexes the lid thousands of times a year until a crack starts, usually at the spots that pivot or latch, since those carry the most stress on any bin lid.
