This bisque inlet valve replaces the wall-mounted connection point on Beam central vacuum systems, the fitting your hose plugs into at each room, part 015615.
An inlet takes a small mechanical hit every time a hose goes in or comes out. Over years of that use, the valve and seal inside wear down until the connection no longer holds tight.
