Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.
Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.
Shipping and refunds
For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

A thrust washer takes the axial load on a motor shaft, keeping the rotating assembly from bearing directly against the stationary parts around it. Part 21328033 is the replacement washer for the Hoover Innovation series, and it also fits the Oreck PT357.
These are consumable parts. The washer wears thin, end float opens up, and the shaft starts moving along its axis instead of simply turning - which you hear as a rising whine or a rhythmic knock, and feel as heat coming off the motor housing. Left alone, the wear transfers from the washer to the parts it was there to protect.
It costs almost nothing, so the sensible time to fit a new one is whenever the motor is open for other work rather than as a repair in its own right.
