Shipping Information

We offer free standard shipping on eligible orders of $100 or more within the 48 contiguous United States. Eligibility is calculated on the merchandise subtotal after discounts and before tax.

Most in-stock orders using standard shipping are processed within 1-5 business days, and most arrive 2-11 business days after they are placed. Backordered and special-order items may take longer. Expedited UPS Ground is available at checkout for an extra charge, including on orders that qualify for free standard shipping. See our Shipping Policy for details.

Returns & Exchanges

Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.

Return eligibility

Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

Shipping and refunds

For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Model FH53000 is Hoover's SmartWash Pet Complete automatic carpet cleaner, aimed at households with dogs or cats where carpet takes more punishment than average. It is a carpet washer, not a steam cleaner, and not a dry vacuum: it lays down solution and pulls the dirty water back out.

Hoover describes the SmartWash as automatic in the literal sense. There is no trigger to hold and no solution to mix. You push forward to clean and pull back to dry, so the machine is worked much the way a vacuum is. Hoover fits the Pet Complete with antimicrobial FlexForce Pet PowerBrushes, a Spot Chaser pretreat wand for hitting a stain before the main pass, and an antimicrobial scrubbing tool for stairs and furniture.
