Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

Cleaning stairs with a full-size steam vacuum is awkward without a dedicated tool, since the machine's own nozzle is built for open floor, not a narrow tread and riser. This stair tool assembly, part 440003856, finished in black and green, connects to the hose on Hoover steam vacuum models and gives the machine a compact head sized for one step at a time.
It is listed for the Hoover FH50130, FH50134, FH50135 and FH50136 in their base and V variants, the FH50150, FH50151, FH50152 and FH50153, the FH50250, FH50251, FH50253PC, FH50256PC, FH50258 and FH50259CDI along with their V variants, and the Royal FR50152.
Wear here shows up as reduced water pickup on the tread itself: the squeegee edge or seal around the tool's mouth flattens or splits with repeated use on stair nosing, so water gets pushed rather than lifted. A cracked hose connection at the tool's base is the other common failure, since the fitting takes torque every time the tool is angled onto a step.
Because stair work angles the hose more than open-floor cleaning does, check the hose connection for play before each use once the tool has some age on it. A connection that has started to loosen will get worse quickly under the repeated twisting a staircase demands, and catching it early is easier than dealing with a tool that comes free mid-job.
