Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

On the Eureka and Sanitaire 5847 upright, part 71741A is the belt cap assembly, the cover that closes the belt drive off from the outside. It is exposed by the job it does, which is why it is one of the first pieces on the machine to take a knock.
Covers in that position absorb repeated small impacts, whether from a cleaning pass that catches a baseboard or from handling during a belt change. Once one is cracked or gone, the drive it was covering is open to thread, grit and whatever else the machine runs over, and the piece itself is loose enough to rattle or to drop off somewhere it will not be found.
This cap is a separate purchase from the belt it covers, and the symptom tells you which one to order: a roller that has quit turning points to the belt, while a loose, cracked or missing cover on the 5847 points to this assembly.
