A machine that has quietly lost its bite at the nozzle is sometimes only telling you that the bag door no longer pulls up tight. Part 5722GS is the locking catch in gray black that clamps that door against its seal, and SEBO draws it as item 31 on the sheet titled AUTOMATIC X4 X5. The machines it covers are the AUTOMATIC X4, AUTOMATIC X4 Boost and AUTOMATIC X5.
Every bag change works this latch, and the lip that does the gripping rounds off a little each time until the door comes to rest a fraction proud of its seal. A gap that small is enough for the compartment to draw from the room rather than through the floor head, so the vacuum feels flat while nothing looks blocked. A catch that has snapped is easier to read: the door swings free, or it has to be held closed by hand while the machine runs. Either fault is cured by the same small moulding, seated exactly where the original sat.
