Part B010-0500 is the axle pin the bottom plate wheels spin around, fitting the Carpet Pro commercial upright line and the related Tacony-built machines. It looks like a simple steel rod, easy to overlook next to the wheel it carries, yet it determines how true that wheel tracks under load and how evenly the plate sits on the floor.
An axle wears at roughly the same pace as the wheel riding on it, but the symptom almost always reads as a wheel problem at first. The wheel picks up play, tips slightly off vertical, and the whole machine starts to wander or drag along one side as the plate scrapes the floor. Bolting a fresh wheel onto a worn axle only repeats the same fault within a few months, which is why the pair is worth changing together instead of one at a time.
With the bottom plate already removed for wheel service, swapping the axle at the same time adds only a couple of minutes. A worn pin rarely announces itself with a sudden noise; it creeps in as a faint side-to-side rock, easy to dismiss as normal play until the plate is dragging consistently and the machine visibly pulls toward that side on every pass across the room.
