Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.
Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.
Shipping and refunds
For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Obsidian Black is the darker of the two solid finishes Miele offers on this Pure Suction configuration of the Boost CX1, a bagless canister vacuum built around straight suction rather than a motorized brush head.
Skipping the powered head is a deliberate choice for certain homes, not a missing feature. Straight suction pulls debris cleanly from hard floors and lighter carpet without a brush belt or roller to wear out over years of use, which means less to think about between cleanings and nothing extra to repair down the line. Floor duty falls to the SBD 365-3 combination head, flipping between bare-floor and carpet modes with a footswitch rather than relying on a motorized roller.
The bagless bin underneath empties directly into the trash, so there is no bag to buy, store, or run out of partway through a cleaning session. As with any Pure Suction canister, homes carrying a lot of wall-to-wall pile carpet will generally see better pickup from a Turbo Team or motorized-head configuration instead, so let us know your floor mix before you order.
