Returns & Exchanges

Return eligibility

Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

SEBO gives this fastener a number of its own because the chassis will not tolerate a substitute. Bolt 8053ER measures 20 x 5/7, belongs to the AIRBELT E machines - E1 Kombi, E2 Turbo and E3 Premium - and appears as item 7 on the AIRBELT E parts drawing.

The same drawing shows the company it keeps. Item 5 is the middle casing, and SEBO notes that the casing is supplied to include items 6 and 7: cover latch spring 7045ER and this bolt. So the fastener belongs to the latch hardware group in the middle of the machine, working against a spring rather than merely pinning two shells together. Vibration works a tired bolt loose in its boss over time; once the head rounds off or the thread pulls, the joint can no longer be drawn down and the moulding around it begins to split under a load it was never meant to carry alone.

Thread form, head shape and length all have to be right, which rules out anything picked off a hardware-store rack. The correct fastener gives a clean, full-depth bite in the original boss. Where a machine is being put back together after a strip-down, renewing the bolts at points that carry spring load is sound practice - one that has already been out several times will not hold as it did, and the casing it threads into is much the harder half of that pairing to put right.
