Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.
Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.
Shipping and refunds
For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Product details
This is the two-prong power switch used in Bissell CleanView Swivel Rewind uprights, sold as part 1616197. It is the component the power button acts on, and it carries the full load of the motor every time the machine is turned on.
Switches are one of the first electrical parts to go. The symptoms are familiar: the vacuum will not start, it cuts out mid-pass, or it only runs while you hold the button at a particular angle. None of that improves on its own, and the contacts inside cannot be cleaned back to health.
It fits the CleanView Swivel Rewind line, including the Bissell 2253, 2254, 2255, 2256, 2258, 2259 and 2259C, along with the 3332 and 3333. Unplug the machine before opening the handle, and leave the work to someone comfortable with mains wiring if you are not.
