Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.
Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.
Shipping and refunds
For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

This is the on/off switch for Bissell ProHeat deep cleaners, a black rectangular rocker, part 2108827. It carries the full load of the machine every time it is pressed, and it is one of the most common electrical failures on these cleaners.
The symptoms are distinctive. The cleaner runs only when the switch is held at a particular angle, cuts out when the machine is nudged, or stops responding altogether while the cord and the outlet both test fine. Contacts inside pit and burn over years of switching a motor and a pump on together, and once they do, no amount of wiggling brings it back.
It fits the ProHeat 1697, 1698, 1699-1, 7901, 8804 and 8910. This is a mains-voltage part, so unplug the machine before you start and hand it to a repair technician if wiring is not something you are comfortable with.
