Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.
Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.
Shipping and refunds
For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

The bright silver cyclone grille, Bissell part 2032388, is the perforated screen inside the dirt tank of these bagless uprights. Air leaving the cyclone passes through it on the way to the filter, and the grille's job is to keep hair, fluff and larger debris on the tank side of that boundary.
A grille that has cracked, distorted or lost its seating lets debris go straight onto the filter, which then blinds over in days rather than months. The usual complaint is a vacuum that needs its filter cleaned constantly and still feels weak. Pet hair matted flat across the mesh has the same effect and is worth brushing off every time you empty the tank.
