Returns & Exchanges

Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

Part FMCY052104 is Trovac's assembled tangential bypass motor rated at 605 airwatts on 120 V, built as a two-stage unit for central vacuum power units that need more lift than an entry-level motor provides.

Tangential bypass motors bring cooling air in on a path that enters the fan housing at an angle, separate from the suction stream, so the airflow that pulls dust through the piping never has to double as motor cooling. That separation is part of what lets a motor run for years between services when the seals and bearings stay intact. Watch for the early signs of a tired motor rather than waiting for it to quit outright: a rising pitch, a new rattle, or a thermal cutout that trips more often than it used to are the usual warnings that bearings or brushes are wearing out.
