Returns & Exchanges

Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

The AMETEK Lamb 117549-12 is a tangential bypass central vacuum motor built on the larger 7.2 in. platform, offered here as replacement part TM754912. It runs on 120V at 50-60 Hz with a 2-stage fan and is built with non-loading fans.

This motor sits in the 7.2-Premier, High Performance platform tier, built for higher output than standard-flow bypass motors elsewhere in the lineup. It is rated at 483 air watts, 111.4 CFM and 125.4 in. of sealed suction (water lift), drawing about 13.5 amps from 1,625 W of input power, with its service brush kit listed as part 833450-57. The larger 7.2 in. frame is used on higher-output power units where the smaller 5.7 in. bypass motors common to most central vacuums are not the original fit, and it is listed as compatible with AstroVac, Imperium, Vacuflo and Vacumaid units.

Before ordering, measure your existing motor's frame diameter across its base and check the tag for a Lamb part number, since 7.2 in. frame motors are not interchangeable with the more common 5.7 in. frame and the motor itself is sometimes stamped only 7549. A gradual loss of suction over weeks or months points to worn brushes or bearings, while a sudden stop is more likely an electrical fault, and either case calls for a motor replacement rather than a repair. Replace it when suction has faded, the brushes have worn, or the bearings have gone noisy.
