    This is a genuine Air-Way suction control spring (Part #700186300), the small tension spring that drives the bleed-valve mechanism inside the suction control on Air-Way upright vacuum cleaners. When the spring weakens or breaks, the suction relief dial can stop holding its position or fail to return, leaving you unable to regulate airflow at the nozzle.

    Replacing this spring restores crisp, responsive operation to the suction control assembly so you can dial airflow up for carpet and down for drapes, upholstery, and delicate rugs.
