Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Getting to the axle on an ESSENTIAL G upright means taking off a small panel, and 2860HG is that panel — the light gray access door that doubles as the cap over the axle. It covers the SEBO ESSENTIAL G1, ESSENTIAL G2, ESSENTIAL G4 and ESSENTIAL G5, and SEBO lists it at position 133 on the ESSENTIAL G4/G5 sheet.
The part earns its living twice over. Closed, it keeps carpet fluff, thread and grit out of the axle area, where anything abrasive that gets in goes straight onto a bearing surface. Opened, it is the service hatch that lets a technician reach the axle without stripping the base of the machine. That double duty is also what kills it: covers in this spot get levered off during brush and axle work, and after a few rounds the retaining tabs give up. A door that no longer clips down flat sits proud of the housing, buzzes as the machine is pushed forward, and can catch on carpet or a rug edge and break away completely.
Replacing it is a hand job with no tools beyond what is already out, and it is worth doing while the axle assembly is accessible.
